Ability Scooters is a family-owned business that originated after my own ankle surgery for ruptured tendons. I actually had more concerns about getting around on crutches, especially outdoors, than I did about the surgery. I was told by a doctor to think about renting a knee scooter. I rented one the day before my surgery and I don't know how I would have gotten through my recovery without it! I was able to get around the house without any assistance or worry about falling on crutches. It allowed me to be outdoors. I even used it at the grocery store and in restaurants.
I loved my Weil Knee Walker, which is why I chose to carry that one. The knee pad is so thick and comfortable. I never felt unsteady or worried about falling or hurting my foot. When I had my surgery, the Voyager Seated Scooter was not yet available. It is not only great for someone who has a foot injury, but can be used after a knee surgery or injury, as well. We now have Wheelchair Rental for San Antonio Texas and the surrounding areas. We will only rent or sell products that we would use ourselves. We are very excited to carry the new Freedom Leg, which opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for those with knee, foot or lower leg problems! Technology is constantly changing and we want to keep up with new and innovative products proven to make your life easier. Although we are a San Antonio based business and deliver in San Antonio and surrounding areas, we ship anywhere in the continental United States.
